I Heart Polaroid Collages

I heart Polaroids. I just scored one off ebay and I'm so excited to get out and play with it. I stumbled across these Polaroid collages by sicoactiva on design work life the other day. They are so creative, romantic, sweet, and playful. I think something like this would be an awesome way to capture your engagement (or anniversary) session.

I also love the mix of digital with Polaroid I've been seeing some photographers do, such as these two by Stephanie Williams.

And then there is this polaroid heart collage. I need one of these! I think it would be such a fun element to bring into your wedding decor - or to display photos in your house.

Anyone planning on using Polaroids in their wedding?

An Illustrated Proposal

I think this has to be one of the most creative proposals I've seen! Australian illustrator Guy Shield proposed to his girlfriend using a series of carefully designed but seemingly arbitrary illustrations. The illustrations, when folded into a specific structure, spelled out the hidden message. What a lucky girl! I love the retro look of the illustrations and they will have them to remember the moment forever. Read more about the process and the proposal here on Guy's Blog.

Rainy Day Wedding Fun

We don't get lots of rain here in southern California, so when photographer Aaron Shintaku found out we were going to have a week of rain two weeks ago, he had an idea for a fun session in the rain. Groomsmen wearing ponchos and bridesmaids in coats and galoshes - so unique and fun! He also enlisted the help of the fabulous Jesi Haack to be the stylist for this session and the talented Carissa from JL Designs to create some awesome bouquets. From Aaron, "Friday morning I woke up to cloudy skies, but no rain. Most people would be happy at this point. We on the other hand wanted rain. Finally half way through our shoot we got it. It was a pretty funny sight seeing me hiding under a pink umbrella trying to shoot without soaking my gear."

So, no need to fear rain! :) Check out more from the session on Aaron's Blog. Thanks for sending these my way Aaron!
