shopping palette: a plate of french macaroons

I spent the holidays dreaming of these little macaroons from Kelly and Jim's Parisian elopement. Can you blame me? If ever there were a perfect sweet, these little colored cookies are certainly it. French macaroons can be custom made in any color imaginable and have been seen on everything from wedding cakes to table decor. I love the way they are used as accessories here. Here are a few more Parisian accessories inspired by Kelly and Jim's wedding.

Clockwise from top: Annick Goutal Eau De Toilette, $80, available at Anthropologie. Paris Chandelier, $3,800, available at Horchow. Destination Charm Necklace, $24, available at Urban Outfitters. Candle in a Jar, $25, available at Anthropologie.

shopping palette: metal, mesh and gray

Michelle and John made my heart melt with their way cool wedding style. I love how their photographer, David Mielcarek, captured both the sweet and tender moments from their wedding but also the crazy, out of control emotion that filled the air. This shopping palette is inspired by Michelle's rock and roll attitude and her unstoppable style. I love how she manages to glam it up and ham it up all at once!

Clockwise from top: Blue Asphalt Confetti Love Tee, $7, available at Wet Seal. Vivienne Westwood Heavy Metal bracelet, $213, availale at Zappos. Studded Heels, $45, available at H&M.

weekend vintage: warm winter wedding accessories

Good morning lovely readers. I can feel that snow is on the way! How romantic and exciting for this weekend's brides. I hope everyone travels safely. Whether you're simply sitting fireside or venturing far and away, I bet these vintage beauties will compel you to put on something fancy. The items featured here are from Dear Golden, a vintage clothing and accessories Etsy shop and blog by the same name. The vintage snow crystal mohair scarf featured at top is made from delicate gauzy knit and would look lovely with a strapless wedding gown. The vintage 1950 velvet heels below and the vintage cross strap shoes (at bottom) are the perfect height for dancing. The lace and ribbon sheath dress is only of of many vintage white dresses that can be worn as wedding gowns or reception dresses. Don't you agree? I'm off to add this gold vinyl rhinestone clutch to my Christmas list.. Enjoy!
