red carpet wedding style: kate hudson in marchesa

When Kate Hudson wears white, people talk. Just recently, Hudson was spotted running around New York City with some long stem roses and a killer white gown. Was she getting married? Not at all. Just posing for the pages of Harper's Bazzar in a stunning white organza dress with an embroidered tulle bodice from Marchesa's Spring 2010 collection. (Ah, what a life.) Earlier this week she was at it again at the London premiere of "Nine" where she wore a crystal white ball gown with white mikado by Versace Atelier (above.)

Kate's asymetrical Versace reminds me of the white asymmetrical geometric Givency gown Natalie Portman wore to Cannes Film Festival last year. Brides looking for a similar look can try on gown with shorter hemlines and geometric details. What makes Kate's Versace so stunning is the dramatic bodice paired with romantic ruffles. Above: Jenny Lee designed a racy wedding gown with the Kate Hudon bride in mind when she revealed this strapless mohair mini with a chopped up hemline. Priscilla of Boston debueted a strapless silk taffeta cocktail dress with intricately encrusted bodice for brides who want to mirror Kate's reflective neckline. Reva Mivasagar designed an asymmetric silk duchess vest dress with ruffle lapel for Spring 2010 that mimics Kate's angular gown and dramatic hemline.
